New Panner in Nova Scotia

I am brand new to panning, just started last week actually. I just got back from a site where I picked up my first "picker". I have gathered lots of flakes so far but this was really something. What a great feeling to see somthing like that in the pan. It's definitely no nugget but it is still pretty large compared to what I have been getting. I will post a picture later that week when I figure out how to take macro pics on the camera.

Are there any other Bluenosers (Nova Scotians) on this board. I am looking for areas to continue panning and would appreciate a nudge in the right direction. I have panned The Ovens but no where else. Thanks for the time and this is a great forum!

I put a picker on my flatbed scanner next a ruler rather then trying to use a camera.

Good luck in your venture. Got water? you might want to use a sluice or something..
