you might try paint & varnish remover or maybe some finger nail polish remover.

when ever heating any adhesive, keep a fan running to blow the fumes away from you to keep you from getting sick or high! personnaly id use a razorblade scraper/knife to scrap it off then use a orbital palm sander to clean it all up.again id use a fan to blow the dust away from me.

I use a flat glass scrapper tool with the razor blade had to take a bunch off my dredge sluice and that works well, has to be flat type
