So what do you want the big bad U.S. to go tell another country of poor impoverished people what to do??I am not say I agree with destroying the environment or that it doesnt effect the whole world, but c'mon,we have our noses in everything.Have you ever been hungry, homeless, not be able to feed your hungry babies? We are somewhat spoiled and I am sick of my government telling me how to wipe my *y6,let alone worrying about every other countries problems

Agree w/ Kuger!

Remember a story, along while back, about Peace Corp in Africa. An African tribe followed the herds and weather for centuries and survived. Peace Corp comes in and says 'you can do better'. Taught these folks how to grow crops and domesticate livestock. A dought happens and for the most part, the tribe doesn't exist anymore. Who is to say, our 'intelligence' is any better than theirs?

We did this to the Indians, and what happened to them? They've got the Casinos

Go Figure :dontknow:

We have the Russians about to start up the cold war again. Our currency is about to be worthless China owns us and they will take Tiawan in my lifetime. We do anything in the world and they hate us for it if we could get our own planet and just communicate with wire somehow the earth would find a way to blame it on me.
The dude that tried to blow up the plane with his drawers did so with so little explosives that we could mistake it for drugs. When they had shown the minute amounts used to blow up a plane I thought why would anyone fly again with these retards running around thinking they were doing gods work.
We have to ask what is our business and what isn't becasue no matter what we do they want to blame the USA.
If the national debt is not corrected you can forget the USA we will have no means to trade. Billions will starve and they will stop searching for gold and start looking for food.

the one thing they don't tell you, is that, that kind of mining has been used for decades. maybe with
the increase in the price of gold, they're are more miners, but the damage they are showing to a long time
to occur. it didn't just happen overnight.
It proves, If you make a big enough stink about something environmental, somewhere, it will
become newsworthy, somewhere.
I don't support damaging our environment, but this kind of mining will still be here years from now

I am for personal freedom, period. The key there is that your personal freedom should not harm mine in any significant way.

Yes the rainforest is being trashed. Bummer. Our own forests were trashed decades ago, and Europes long before that. We are recovering from those losses and have developed better methods.

I think we should stay out of their mining practices UP TO A POINT. That point would be such that Individuals and organizations help to educate the people. By doing that you can begin to eliminate the poisoning of the people and their environment. However we will never act in any way that does not leave a footprint on our surroundings.

The US gov should stay out of it.

If you are concerned enough you will go there yourself or as part of a humanitarian organization, that shares your same goals (and preferably values) and help to educate the uneducated.

We all know that we have safer ways to harvest the minerals from the ground. These folks need help and it is not just in the Amazon. This is a world wide problem, but not as bad in the developed nations... Part of what was broadcast is designed to push the global warming / deforestation agenda.

Educating the people sounds like a wonderful idea.....if you like a bullet in the head!
The people in the Amazon pay about 3 times spot for mercury, they have to buy if from organized crime down there. The criminals aren't interested in having the miners learn how to recover mercury or how to use other methods. Teaching people something as simple as how to recover most of their mercury can and will get you killed.

All I want to say is this...

The world including the USA is going to hell really fast...

Stock up on everything..and I mean everything.

Embrace the Second Amendment like it is your wife on your wedding day.

Happy New Year!
