ALTOONA, Penn., July 19. -- Some time ago gold quartz was discovered in the mountains near the village of Titusville, Blair County. The finders sent to Denver for an expert, who came and made an examination and essay of the ore. [ END OF FIRST PARAGRAPH ]

ERIE, Penn., June 9.--The discovery of gold near Garland, in Warren County, a short time since is followed by discovery of a gold-bearing sandstone rock in paying quantities near Lebouffe, the site of the old French fort. The assay at Philadelphia gives the rook a very rice yield. A company of capitalists wlll develop the treasure. [ END OF FIRST PARAGRAPH ]
