Well this is my first post, and i was just wondering how many people have found some good locations in Montana.

I go, with my family, every summer to see my grandmother, who lives in Bozeman, and we recently found the old family gold pan. Thus, being the dreamer i am, I have been researching lots of different areas to go, and right now we will most likely be going places in Madison county. I was just wondering if any of you wonderful people on here have found any real good locations.

We leave the 21st, but i will still be able to check this site. If we find any, i'll make sure to keep ya'll informed!

Check with the Billings GPAA chapter..

I'd suggest sending in $79.50 to the GPAA you can go on any of the GPAA claims in the claim guide.. You get a decent pan and panning video.

Well worth the money for the first time recreational prospector. The claims guide shows all areas you can go into. I noticed that there is an area near Cooke City, (south and west of Billings) near yellowstone. I'd know in madison and gallatin county there should be several claims in the guide..
