Bering Sea Gold cast members looking for capital to build their own dredge for upcoming 2013 season...we already have the vessel necessary for the dredge but are looking for the capital to complete it for the upcoming season...we need 50K-85K to complete this...the base vessel for this is a 1999 seaark transporter series 36 foot aluminum pontoon boat, with shaft propulsion...we spent the 2012 season operating the "Wild Ranger" for Vernon Adkison giving him his first successful season with a modest take of 92 ounces, that was quite good considering the short season of only 25 dredging days and having Steve Riedel as 2nd diver for much of the season( no offense Steve)...I have over 30 years gold dredging experience and have been coming to Nome since 2000, and the captain has a diverse background also. Just wanted to add that I have 35 inland claims here at Nome and will be giving access to these claims to person able to help with this matter...the river in the area where the claims are produced a 7, a 1, and a half ounce nugget this summer for a couple of older guys working there, with a total take of around 50 ounces for season( the weather killed their season also with river raising 12 feet during one rainy stretch)...note dredging in the area of these claims is not for the faint of heart as they are some 100 miles inland with the last 12 miles being atv access at best.

Hi Jason, just looking to do an 8"...the seaark currently has electric shaft drives and will be converting it to diesels as I dont want to deal with the battery pack necessary to operate the electrics...planning to drive motive water pump with same diesel engines

you need 85K for an 8 inch? Or are you also raising working capitol?

I've never seen a 'toon with an electric drive. Have you considered a diesel generator to run the motor instead of changing everything out?

Looking for 50-85 K and much of it for getting boat to nome...quote last spring fom ak logistics was 16k for barge ride alone and another 8k to get it to seattle...I did think about a dc generator to run current dc drives but dont have nor can I find anyone that knows enough to say it will work...the motors are out of a 1980 dc electric car called an ecort that was used on ford escorts

Wow, you would rather spend $80,000 to build and ship a dredge, than to buy one already on location? Seems WAY cheaper to make whatever mods you need to one already there.

Are you willing to take on a team member to represent the investor? Also for one of us to get to the point of handing over $85,000, we would need to know a lot more about you and a background check would be in order. Any problem with these steps?

I did'nt say one way or the other...I know the dredge being talked about, and it has many issues I have already run into problems with, and other issues that I know better than even trying to make work...I am moving down the road to a more commercial duty machine as I have already had a lightweight aluminum cylindrical pontoon vessel with outboard propulsion, everything was ok until outboard gets swamped by breaking wave, and in the shallow water here 5 foot waves break out a 1/2 mile offshore

You would have to define becoming a team member...we would not be able to bring someone aboard to b on show, and any person acting as observer would be for the sole interest of the investor(s) and would be the investors responsibility to care for...as far as our backgrounds we are an open book and willing to cooperate in an way

Just get the network to pay. They have endless funds. Just have to do a lot of persuading, lol. $80k to a network is a fart in the wind.

Think of it as mining the network, lol. You boys get the ratings for the network, they will buy a new anything.

I heard the leads on the show make a $100k before they even put on there Minimg clothes, lol. From a very good source. Well I sure hope its true. That's a tough way to make a living. Hard hard dangerous work.
