Big, beautiful North American Placer!! Freakin' fantastic!!!

Unbelievable video of big North American gold nuggets + new finds, pics, videos added: a live thread, so please post your gold shots.
I'll add other videos or stills of big nuggety North American gold as I find them.

This video starts slow, but it's shot underground, so give it a while and then watch out that you don't have a freakin' heart attack!!

I hope you love looking at this as much as I did--every placer miner's dream come true. If you're a rookie, you'll get the fever bad watching this one. (To avoid any confusion, this is not my video, nor is it my clean-up, nor was I involved in any way--I found it by mistake after typing in a search word incorrectly [that's why I'd never found it before], but I sure do love it!!)

Almost 3,800 ounces in the last shot--fines are in the large plastic bags. 100 miles north of the Arctic Circle!

All the best,

Lanny

P.S. I posted it with my beginner's thread as well, but it's so great it deserves it's own place too.

@Lanny, that's lead birdshot in the gold pic. I've pulled quite a bit of it out of my suburban creeks over the last few years.

Ah, yes, now it makes more sense. I remember way back when as I was chasing the gold as a raw rookie. I was working just below a bedrock pool on the bedrock in some boulders. I moved everything, creviced, did all I was supposed to do and all I got for my efforts was some black sand and some 22 leads! But, I guess if there'd have been any gold, at least I was looking in the right spot . . .

All the best,

Lanny

I think you might have come up with a video cure for the winter gold fever blues! That big California nugget should be in a museum for all to see.

All the best, and thanks for your post that adds to the enjoyment of Big North American Placer,

Lanny

That gold has a nice, mellow yellow color! I love the gold coin you've thrown in for character too.

I cut my mining teeth on gold smaller than that as all I've got in my immediate area is glacial gold that's ground to a fine powder . . .

The big pieces you've got there are huge compared to my nearby flour gold!

All the best,

Lanny

I took a shot of some of my gold nuggets from last season, the biggest at right around six grams, the others working their way down from there. Lots of pieces with some character, but only a few that had any quartz at all but that's usually the way it goes where I'm working now, quartz running with the gold is rare.

A nice catch of fines to boot!

The pics have to be small size I think 1mb or below. Resize the images, you can do this by uploading them to an image site like imgur and downloading the file again smaller, or by using a free photo editor and exporting them for web. When you export the file just make sure it exports below 1mb.

Also killer nuggets emptyhole!
