My kids are now 7 and 9 now. When they were younger, camping was fine as long as they were in the same tent, sometimes the same sleeping bag. They enjoy the time. My older step sons use to love to camp with us... now we are boring. They come out once in a while, but it is rare now. Bring the little ones as often as possible as they start to opt out in their teen years.

Soo glad you all made it out, had a blast with you all. I think the kids handled the hike better than most of the adults, the kids were trying to

keep up with me most of the hike out..lol Glad that little bit of a hike made a difference in you getting a little bit more color in your sluice vs

One of these days the kids will remember how much fun they had and will want to join you again. My boys are in their 20's now and are wanting to get out with me more often.
