Hey Guys,

I live in Dodge City, Ks. The Arkansas river runs right through the center of town, but it's a dry river bed.

I've heard gold has been found in the Arkansas river all the way from Colorado to Arkansas. Any one else heard that also?

My question is...how do I go about trying to recover gold here in Dodge with a dry river bed? I suppose the gold here, if any, will be very fine..Yes or no?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I don't know how much the river has changed but when I was a kid I was in Cimmaron at a park on the river and there was water. You may want to check upstream and see if there is any water. I also remember going fishing at a gravel pit in the area. Gravel Pits are good places to check for gold....Art
