I've found a great piece of FREE slate that can be used for Miller Tables in
Marysville, but unfortunately it is still attached to a pool table..lol

I have not seen the table (yet) but am told it is overall in very poor
condition, but the slate top is undamaged and in one piece. All we need
to do is disassemble it and get it out of their basement, and much of that
will not be too difficult. The hard part will be getting the top back up a short
few stairs and into the back of my truck.

My plan is to take the top to a cutter and have them cut several Miller
Table sized pieces from it. I only need one, but if anyone is willing to
provide some help I'll be more than happy to give them one of the
remaining pieces. I plan to cut mine at 18" X 48" or longer, if possible.
I will pay for the needed cuts to the slate, and then all you'll need to do is
build a bed for it to sit in and a water system to bring a steady, low flow
of water across it. I'm not wealthy at all, but will pay for the needed cuts
for the rest of the slate so others can take advantage of this opportunity
as well.

I figure it will take at least 3 men to get that slate top out, and right now
it's just me. I'll be bringing whatever is needed to disassemble the frame
(including ax, skilsaw, sledge etc.) as I plan to trash everything but the
slate top.

There will be at least 2-3 other slate pieces (1 ea.) for anyone that
can help. I'll get it cut, and deliver it to you afterwards.

Might take a couple hrs. at most to get the work done, and I'm flexible
as to the time you might be available.

If anyone can assist (or offer suggestions!) please reply here or send
me a PM and we can figure out how to get this done.

Wish I was in your area, don't need the slate, but would be glad to help. Good health and good hunting.

The thought is appreciated!

Didn't think I would get many responses (if any), but there's not a chance
in hell that I could get the top out on my own. I can always tell the people to
give it to someone else, but I sure would like to to get this nice piece of slate
if possible.

"...finding gold and causing hate and discontent..." I like it! :notworthy: Hoser had it right all along. Media hate us, greenies hate us, injuns hate
us, the courts are a joke, we have no power to vote the bast*rds out, we got no money to fight in their games. Only thing left is to form wolfpacks and roam
the rivers as the outlaws they think we are. have fun and pack some heat.

Have fun John, and add in some some of that redneck H&D for me too! :occasion14:

Decided to pass on this table, as considering where it's at ( a basement) the amount of
work needed to salvage that slate just isn't worth the effort, plus it's about 70 mi. from
home.

Not a worry at all, really, as these old tables can frequently be found simply for the
price of removing the. Think I'll pick one closer to home next time..
