Hey Fellow TNnet Gold Prospecting Folk,

About 7 years ago while Gold prospecting in a creek, I found a spot where white/bluish/grey clay comes up into one location in the creek, which is the downstream, shallower portion of a deeper hole! Knowing that usually the white/buish/grey clay contains Gold, I began digging some of the clay out and panning it down. This is no easy task as each full shovel full of the clay, must weigh in at 35 pounds or more. Well, once getting down 12 inches or more, I noticed that I was getting some color in the Gold Pan as well as some other possible heavy metals. After making some inquiries as to where the clay is coming from since this is the only spot on this creek or in the entire area with this white/bluish/grey clay, I was told by several Gold Prospectors and some others with backgrounds in Geology, that I may have found an eroding Volcanic Pipe. The problem I am having, is that if it is an eroding Volcanic Pipe, the exit of the pipe into the creek is about 3/4's blocked by large boulders. When I dig out the clay in the hole until I can dig no more due to the boulders, I then have to quit digging in this location. However, if I return a month or so later and there has been some rains, the hole is again full of the clay and I can dig, classify and pan it out. There was supposed to have been a Gold Mine in this area back in the 1800's to early 1900's but since I have looked everywhere in the area for the Gold Mine and can't find it, I am thinking that this hole in the creek, is the actual mine location and someone blocked the exit of the Volcanic Pipe into the creek for several reasons. One, they may have blocked it to prevent the loss of Gold downstream, so that they could come back some day and get more Gold but never did. Two, they blocked it for safety purposes as the exit of the Volcanic pipe may be unstable and someone could actually fall into and disappear in the hole. Whatever the case, I would like to extract some if not all of the boulders from the hole, so that the clay that is being brought into the creek from the eroding Volcanic Pipe, will flow more freely and I can get more Gold and the other possible heavy metals. What would you advise for me to do concerning trying to unblock the exit into the creek? Is this a good idea or a bad idea? How would you go about doing this as some of the boulders probably weigh in at 300 to 500 pounds? Keep in mind that I am not stupid and that if I attempt to unblock the exit of the Volcanic Pipe into the creek, I will have myself tied off to a large tree that is at least 30 yards or more from the hole! I surely don't want to fall into such a hole but at the same time, I want to make it where it (the Volcanic Pipe) will give up the Gold and other possible heavy metals more easily. I have spent too many years contemplating this delimma but due to work, family matters and financial issues, I could not see it through. However, I am now retired and since I have most of the monkeys off my' back per see, I now want to see this through! Any input and advice would be greatly appreciated!

Note: I cannot give any specifics to the location (i.e. which State, County or even creek) as it may lead others to this location.

HELLO, HELLO, hello folks.... Brad here (Limitool). LISTEN, LISTEN, listen... Not only am I an "old fart" w/bad back also, I got this whole project under control and figured out. After I arrive at his "site" and load him up with equipment I'll make sure the job gets done. After HIS 3rd trip in we'll head on back (with a cooler of "cold ones") on his 4th trip... I'll follow to make sure he breaks nothing. After we're there I'll assess the situation. And as long as he does as he's told everything will work out. If I have to get my toes wet.... I may... if he can't handle it (maybe). Movie deal.... HELL yea... done deal. I'm recording everything to document for its accuracy. Mr. Pitt (Brad) has agree to "play" me. Sinatra (Frank) I believe has passed, Frank. But we'll work on it dude... there is that "Herman" guy, "P... something". Anyway I'll take care of it... get your rest Frank. After your 6th trip out with gold I'd like you to bring back a cold one... while I'm thinking some more. Signed your buddy.... Brad (you better come back for that last trip.... Frank... hello, Frank?)

Outstanding post Brad,

I can see he's in good hands but don't slack off on the supervision because we all want a piece of the royalties when it all works out

Good man yourself....... To coin an Irish phrase

Since Brad loves to explore caves, I will send him in to explore the Volcanic Pipe! Well, it is sort of like a cave, right? Just take a deep breath Brad and swim as fast as you can. Why would you need the scuba gear? You know I have you covered and I will haul you back out with this rope, say after 5 minutes or so!

Now as far as the movie deal goes! Pee Wee Herman will definitely not be playing me as I have already contacted Russell Crowe and he has agreed to accept your' cut as soon as you make the swim into the Volcanic Pipe. Since you won't be around, I will cancel Brad Pitt for your role and substitute with Rowan Atkinson of Mr. Bean fame. What can I say, life is (or in your case, was) a B%&ch!

Kevin...Who needs the royalties as once I haul out everything from the Volcanic Pipe (Gold, Silver, Platinum, Diamonds, Emeralds and Rubies), I will be set and cruising offshore BVI's location in my' new Super Yacht looking for some more of those sewer pipes.:skullflag::laughing7:

Frank

After reading the last two posts we are going to rename any movie (that's if you two good ole boys find anything) Grumpy Old Men 3 since Walter and Jack are no longer available it will have to be Pesci and De Vito, a good fit I fear.

Seriuosly, have at it boys and be both careful and successful, after reading everything above it would appear stealth a guile are going to be needed so flapping about in fins and a wetsuit might be a bit of a give away so I hope the volcanic water is warm.... On second thoughts I hope it's friggin freezingdde0a

That Pesci and De Vito joke was pretty good! I see you are learning more and more from BVI.

Yeah, it would hard to explain the need for the fins and the wetsuit since the average water depth on the creek overall is probably 6 inches or less! There are very few deep holes on the creek and where the possible volcanic pipe is located, is the deepest, at least on the upstream side. There doesn't seem to be much difference in the water temp in this spot compared to other spots, so we should be good.

Frank I only got the blue bit in the box and no text from you apart from seeing the BVI encouragement on the initial post lead in and everything after 6inches or LESS was lost ( Freudian slip there about you and BVI perhaps)?dde0a

Got it now above...

Damn Frank.... I'm a little tired returning from my trip tonight... but that's a little harsh "buddy", wouldn't ya say. You did promise to pull me back after 30 seconds or when the timer went off. Remember you promised. I admit the "Herman" line might of been over the top Frank (sorry). And furthermore... "What can I say, life is (or in your case, was) a B%&ch!".... my ass will upon this case happening pop up right under BVI's boat and/or your "Super Yacht" from the vent to confront you. Screw Mr. Pitt... I'll play myself (don't need'em) because he couldn't do the vent stunt. Russell Crow for you... Never, you don't have an accent like that and he can pull a rope. Now... I do believe SADS 669 is on to something with this Grumpy Old Men 3 theme above. Just pull the rope Frank and I'll bring out the goods. And if that volcanic water is "friggin freezingdde0a" you and I are gonna meet SADS 669.

Anyway Frank.... we will move the boulders somehow between you and I. And we'll play ourselves in the "made for TV" movie. Let's just call a truce Herman... I mean Frank... later, Brad

LOL!! You know me Brad, as parnoid as I am about tight...enclosed spaces, I would probably pull you back out within 20 seconds! But hey, that is just the way I am! You know, it might work better if I grab your' feet and shove you in and pull you back out of the volcanic pipe like a plunger in a toliet. If I did this, I wonder if you would make the same suction and gushing sounds??!!

Yeah, we will move the boulders, get the goodies and play ourselves in the movie, not play with ourselves! Who would need to, when all of the good looking babes come around looking for us sugar daddies. Besides, Hollywood no longer has anyone even remotely like us as Laurel and Hardy died long ago. The truce is now in effect until you call me Herman again, okay Bud Pitt??!! LOL!!

Oohh, by the way! I found the perfect vehicle for hauling in the prospecting and volcanic pipe unplugging equipment! SADS 669 owns or should I say, did own a 1967 Fiat 500 he takes on treasure hunting trips and posted a pic of it on another Thread. The thing is so small that if we use it to haul in all of the equipment, the NF folks would just think the tire tracks were from a small wagon. I copied and pasted the pic to my' PC and have included it below. Since you own a patent, see if you can come up with an idea of how to get all the equipment and us in it.

"You know, it might work better if I grab your' feet and shove you in and pull you back out of the volcanic pipe like a plunger in a toliet. If I did this, I wonder if you would make the same suction and gushing sounds??!!" Hell ya... I'll be making sounds. About the 3rd time back down you might as will put a rock on it and wait for me at the "Super Yacht".

"Hollywood no longer has anyone even remotely like us as Laurel and Hardy died long ago" No argument about that "FRANK". Even though it would be based upon a true story... it would still be a comedy... we couldn't help ourselves.

"Since you own a patent, see if you can come up with an idea of how to get all the equipment and us in it." Bad news here... I was good at finding better ways to build them but I left all that on GM's doorstep when I QUIT. They called it retirement... but I actually just QUIT. No more "auto thinking"!!! We'll have to use your truck. Maybe put a giant skid plate under it and a set of real heavy duty tire skies.

Anyway Frank we'll figure it out and I bet we'll get them moved and then we'll go to work... we'll have fun trying anyway. But SADDS 669... that water better not be freezing or... or....or... I'll start a verbal assault on you (that's the best I can do now). Later guys.... Brad

You are a champion, I have been telling these two good ole boys ( sorry, old farts) with supposed bad backs to get out there so ALL of us that have been kind enough to support their thread can retire on our share. But oh no, they just want to talk about it so good for you weighing in and telling them to "Just Do It," my sentiments exactly.

I personally am about to go out in a few minutes and terrify a couple of dozen bottle caps on the reef with my New ( well used from Fletch88 ) Tiger Shark, at least i 'll be cleaning the ocean ( sigh) it works great underwater in salt water don't let anyone say it doesn't, yesterday I found 30 bottle caps and soda can ends. No treasure but a fantastic dive, they all are.

What is ROF I know what LMAO is

Outstanding post. No wonder you and ' the Tool" aren't finding anything, and BV bloody I .....doesn't appear to have found a coin yet this week. I bet he's still drunk because the storm missed them and they went ahead and had the Storm party anyhow.

As for your below the belt remark about the Fiat, that is even beneath a self proclaimed, grumpy good ole bad back boy like yourself. I bet you are a young attractive lady really and the photo on your profile is of some miserable old looking bloke in your town, no wonder Brad spends so much time in caves with you.....dde0a

Seriously, are we sharing out this loot or not, I may as well come up and move the boulders for you, I would offer to let you blindfold me and lead me to the site so I can't tell tales but from what I have read, you and the tool would probably bundle me in the trunk of your VW beetle and I would never be seen again

Great thread keep it up but move the boulders, photos would be nice, of the boulders not you or the tool, unless you are a slim attractive lady of course.

I called a truce with Frank but your like a bad rash... Ain't gonna be any "slim attractive lady" at the boulder site (that is true Frank... right?). And if Heidi Klum shows up were gonna move some "boulders" all night. I'll point to the "gold". Now, Frank... Kevin... don't make me put you two in timeout. Brad,

I have thought throughout this thread that you are the good guy and "The Frank" is well.....you know the rest. However, you are sailing a little close to the wind with the " rash" comment, I have been taking the pills and it is clearing up nicely.

Please do all of us a favour, especially the people who have supported this thread who are waiting for their cut.......GET YOUR LAZY SELVES UP THE TRACK AND MOVE THE BOULDERS AND FIND US SOME SHI..... SORRY STUFF

Should you do this all will be forgiven,

Ps thanks for sticking up or the Fiat.... A redeeming quality
