I love spending time out on the river. Whether it be fishing, swimming or gold prospecting... a day on the water is always a good one! To make my day even better my pops, 9 year old son, 8 year old daughter, and 2cmorau went out to his claim on the Yuba.

I set the Bazooka up for the kids to do some crevicing. They had a good time cleaning out a crevice we started a couple weeks ago. My pops joined them and we ended up moving some big boulders off the bedrock to get further in the crack, which opened up into a hole in the bedrock. They put in a couple hours on the spot, but found a good amount of small stuff over the past two weekends.

Everyone had a great time and we can't wait to bet back up that way!!!!

We struggled a bit with setting up and not plugging up the 4" gravity dredge, but it was fun while it lasted!

It is always exciting to find gold. If you want to see real excitement, watch the faces of the children!
