You can keep up with the outing schedule at their web-site. About the Club

They meet the first Wednesday of each month at the American Legion post in Henderson (Wegenham Road?? Not too far from the Fiesta Casino)

When they decide on a date for the outings, they will post it on the Coming Events tab from their home page. Usually three day weekend trips. Somebody is always out there Friday afternoon, and they don't clear out till Sunday PM. Even if you can only get out ofr one day, it would be good for you to meet the guys and do a little digging. I understnad they are waiting ofor some reports from the effects of the rains before they set a firm date for the next outing.

Forgot to mention, they are also trying to get some one day mid-week trips together for those folk that have a hard time making the weekend trips. Check out George's webpage: Home

The next GSSN outing is 28/29 Sep on the "Broken Step" claim. They recently changed the names of all the claims, so contact George or Ian (Club President) to find out what it used to be called. Good luck.

Just got this e-mail today in case you did not. The GSSN outing is next weekend on Claim 34 in Meadview (now called the "Broken Step" Claim.

Hi All,
We are going to the Section 34 (Broken Step) claim in Meadview. If you plan to attend, please let us know by sending your RSVP to the President via the GSSN website at Home Page.

Festivities for Saturday include a metal detector hunt. Prizes will be handed out for the winners. There is no need to sign up for the detector hunt, just show up with your detector. The hunt will take place after lunch starting around 1PM. We currently have one detector reserved for the hunt. The club has two more detectors available for use at the hunt and outing.

Saturday we will have a potluck lunch and Sunday we will serve brunch consisting of bacon, sausage, eggs, and pancakes. Again, please let us know if you will be there so we know how much food to prepare for brunch. Also, as always, please bring your own beverage and chair. We will not have beverages on hand.

If you are going to camp, please be courteous when parking. There will be a lot of campers and motorhomes on site for the weekend. Please leave plenty of room for your neighbor to park. If you are staying overnight and are looking for accommodation's please contact the Meadview RV park. They have very nice cabins for rent. Contact information is below in the directions to the claim.

If you need directions, please see below.
