Welcome Youngdizzy. The ground looks pretty good. There looks to be river washed rock under that layer of topsoil.Test that and see if there is any gravel, sand and black sand in the mix. Is it on an inside bend of the creek? If it is your chances went up. Color change isn't always an indicator but is worth checking. How do you mean stained quartz? Is the quartz milky white? Type of quartz and stains can make a differance. What state are you in?

Good Luck!
