why not repair it yourself? solder/shrink tubeing ?? or is it to close to a end of the cable.

It has woven wire and shielding. I might put it back together, but it would be so noisy that I would never find any gold

i was a electrician for 30 someodd years and that sheilding (woven cover) can be redone.

Sounds like a human error, and where was the MD? Sorry for your lost but I got a better story. I left my wallet on the coffee and our lab had here way with it. She chewed up six $100.00 dollar bills and swallowed them. Was able to piece 3 of the bills back together after processing sh*t for a few days...

Russau, I don't t say it can't be done, just not by me, I have to travel to far, to have it let me down, and miss something good. Besides they will tune it up and hopefully I will find more pieces
