The most important of the six meetings, and actual hearing where all comments will be entered into the record. Make SURE you take a written letter with your concerns in case you don't make it to the podium. All written pieces WILL be entered into the record. Lets show these bueaurcrats that we will not lie down. Time to step up, speculation that the green lobby will be there in force.

The Service will hold a public hearing on the proposed rules and draft economic analysis on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Sacramento Horsemen’s Association; 3200 Longview Drive; Sacramento, CA 95821. The first hearing session will start at 1:00 p.m. with doors opening at 12:30. A second hearing session will start at 6:00 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30. Written and verbal testimony will be accepted at the public hearing.

Thank you for your ongoing engagement with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Full house, standing room only. I am going to be try to write a synopsis for WMA as our director had a emergency at his shop and could not make it. Miners were well represented and I was able to have about 10 minutes of one on one with Robert Moler and that sure felt good, but did little good. A hole panel of bioligists, state and federal, dfg usfws, you name it. They got hammered from the time they started taking questions until they got to their cars. Assemblyman Patterson, former mayor of Fresno sent his aide with a scathing letter, Sheriff Margaret Mimms gotit up and spoke, as well as supevisors from Fresno, Madera, Mariposa, Tulome, Stanislaus, ect. All the citizens who spoke, were well informed, carrying papers and were quite fed up with federal agencies. This valley still reals daily from the loss of mills, the towns of Auberry and North Fork are ghost towns because of it. We live daily with a man made drought from the legacy of the ESA of the Delta Smelt, so the mood was a bit snarky at times.

I printed the 127 page report, and not until they admitted in the meeting did I realize by law they cannot factor in the cost to the local and state economies as a factor. If this cost the state 100 million in revenue, too bad. If it kills a few businesses or towns, oh well

F0R THOSE OF YOU IN THE SAC AREA, THE MEETING ON THE 30TH IS A ACTUAL HEARING. THERE WILL BE A COURT STENOGRAPHER, THEY WILL RECORD EVERY WORD, MAKE SURE YOU TAKE CONCERNS IN LETTER FORM IN CASE YOU DON'T MAKE IT TO THE PODIUM. THEY ONLY TAKE SO MANY QUESTIONS. RUMOR HAS IT THAT THE GREEN NAZIS WILL BE THERE IN FULL FORCE. WE NEED A FULL CONTINGENT OF ALL THOSE WHO ENJOY THE OUTDOORS, HUNTING, GRAZING, LOGGING, FIRES SUPPRESSION, OFF ROADING, FISHING, MINNING WILL BE A THING OF THE PAST IN 1.8 MILLION ACRES.

Oak, - be sure you or Hefty1 take a full blow-up of pic that has been posted here before, you know the one of the sign that says "beyond this sign is critical habitat..." Better yet have 4 or 5 blow-ups made for Sac. meeting - i'll be happy to pay for it.

This is the first of three species of the 476 that Center for Biodiversity has agreements to list, due to the Sue and Settle scandal. If this is not defeated, that will effectivley close most if not ALL Federal Lands in the west. This is the first incremental step to a total green control of all federal lands.

The 1.8 million is only a drop in the bucket if you read the fine print according to the newsletter - If a river has any portion under critical habitat designation, if deemed necessary the entire river can be closed to access. We are not talking stretches anymore, we are now looking at entire watersheds.

Have any of you thought that maybe the US Government is behind all of this? Maybe they want to give away some more of our Natural Resources like the Gold Mine and Oil Wells they have already given away in the Eastern part of the Country?

Something to ponder on..

Delete this Mods if you feel it is in the wrong place.

If you all truly care and understand the implications of what the Forest Service is doing please come to one of the meetings or take five minutes and write a comment or make a call or two. Call your County Supervisors, Chamber of Commerce, businesses in your area that could be effected. Direct them to the Western Mining Alliance website and January news letter for info and education. Ask your local politicians to attend or send staff. We elected these people and they are supposed to work for us, so let's get them working. This is not a "The sky is falling" rant, this is a last ditch plea to get those that haven't called, written, or attended a meeting to do so now if your ever gonna.
