The problem with the endangered species act is that certain forms of mankind have turned it into a Vigilantly movement that has the worst intentions for the Republic of the United States of America as it was founded. I agree that pollution as practiced by the careless part of the World of Mankind is bad for all of us however the way the ESA is being used is only adding to what Worldly pollution has already accomplished. IMHO.................63bkpkr

I am sure that about 15,000 years ago there must have been a few people sitting around a smoky campfire saying "if we don't get a grip on our intrusion into nature there aren't going to be any more wooly mammoths".....or something like that.... man made pollution while not desirable or no pollution whatsoever, the Earth is gonna shake humans and a vast amount of other species off its back like a dog shedding water as it always has and nothing is going to stop that. New flora and fauna will emerge over time to replace the old and the gold will keep tumbling down the hills to the streams... time to go get some more Gold.

You can't stop the earth and the universe from dying any more then you can save yourself. Enjoy what little time you have left and learn to do something meaningful.

These idiots have stolen over 5 million acre feet of water from the greatest agricultural valley since the 90's to save the delta smelt and other fish, and guess what, they are still in decline becauase all these tree loving, animal and fish worshiping idiots are dumping raw to lightly treated sewage
tyo the tune of almost 400 million gallons a day. They and only they know that dredging is bad for fish, but can't seem to figure out that sewage is the real problem. If these morons want to make a difference, they need to start in their own backyardl:BangHead::angry4::cussing::cussing::cussing::cussing::cussing::cussing::cussing::cussing:

Well at least it's an elected position. We stand a 50-50 chance of getting someone like him back in that position. Of course the greenie will denounce any one running that doesn't agree with their agenda.

I found the article funny from the point that she was saying his report was full of holes. This from a person that has used "Bought Science" to further her groups agenda for years!

Don't be too discouraged some day these wackos will come to the realization that dredging actually creates an environment for the fish to eat and breed by slowing down water currents and creating a place to hide and lay their eggs. Other wise they just get washed down stream and eaten buy other fish. Why do we wast so much time with heavy equipment moving boulders and other debris to create " natural" habitat, meanwhile loosing oil and grease into the river. Dredging is so much healthier for the fish!

The ultimate destiny of all species is exstinction. There have been millions come and go. It is a shame to see a person of reason leave the U.S. House. Do any of you older guys remember Sen Dale Bumpers [Arkansas]. A full blown ,USDA Prime Horse's @#$. The mining industry's biggest enemy. After an eternity of rooting at the public trough he finally retired. Thank God he wasn't terribly effective.
