Seems like no matter how careful I am classifying material
down to /18", there always seems to be a few larger pebbles
that slip past. Could be they get slopped out of the classifier
tub, but either way I don't want them sliding down the feed
plate of the Gold Cube as they get stuck in the troughs.

Figured the easiest way to stop them from entering the
Cube was to screen them out at the bottom edge of the
slick plate. Very simple mod, really, as I took a piece of 1/4"
screen and rolled the bottom edge to fit right into the feed
slot (what else do ya call it?) of the slick plate:

Haven't used it in the field yet, but it should allow all the
1/8"- material to flow right through, but will catch any pebble
larger than 1/4" before it gets into the Cube. Made it easily
removable for cleaning, and it shouldn't hamper performance
at all.

Don't know if those larger pebbles slipping through made much
of a difference, but they can clog up the troughs between sections
and alter the water flow over the matting. Hope this remedies the issue.
