Do me a favor. Go on the treasurenet site and forum Gold Prospecting. At top is one that says "7hr gold prospecting on Lake Erie" from Medina Joe, so he lives here in Medina.
Can you reply to him for me since I am not on treasurenet?

Tell him,
My detecting buddy David in Medina says all the gold in Lake Erie is tainted with high amounts of Mercury and should be avoided. He advises to throw any gold back into the lake to avoid Mercury poisoning.

He will get a kick out of that joke! Thanks, David in Medina

Almost as good as halibut Viking. Don't think you can compare to anything out West.

fishnfacts, those cheeks are the best. I save them all for winter time and do not share. Sad part is watching people put them in the trash.
