hi all
i have found a 5 foot wide vein that has some good colors in it I also found good color in the stream below the vein. Have a look at the pictures an tell me what you think. hmmm

I cant find the pictures from the vein yet, ill keep looking.

:hello: I found the pictures, the pink color is what i am really interested in.
We are heading back out to get more samples and we will sending them for a quantitative phase analysis. :dontknow:

Looks like you found purpurite...in layman terms you have a rock that is composed of these minerals manganese iron phosphate....thats my guess with out knowing more info...regards db

Yes, the pink color indicates manganese minerals to me - maybe rhodochrosite, or rhodonite..

OH that's so very pretty! Where you at? Cali? Carolinas?
Tourmaline comes in all them colors I see there, too.
We got some great gemoligistys :laughing7: in the rock/stones section on down.
Why not post pics there, as, some of them may not venture in to the prospecting section often.
