Thanks for the video. One technique you didn't mention, that I was taught by an old timer, was after stratifying really well, start to tip the pan while shaking to let the lighter material work into the riffles. Then before it gets to the edge of pan, stop. Tilt the pan forward to remove water. Then turn pan almost vertical (so riffles full of material are down at bottom), and rather than the wave motion you showed, just dip the pan straight down into the water and pull it straight back out. You can dip a couple times before re-stratifying. I think it is a tad quicker than the wave action and still holds the gold. Thanks for the video.
