trying to plan a family trip

Hi i am trying to plan a trip this summer and need some help finding areas to look into as i am new to this i dont know where i should be looking into in northern ca any help is appreciated, i am kinda thinking around maricopa but i am open to other places to. Just trying to do some panning and sluicing in the famous mother lode country, i have m uhh fingers crossed they lift the dredge ban... bye the way i am in bakersfield and would love to find a prospecting partner if anyone is interested

Kern River Recreation area,Merced River has 2 rec areas at Bagby and Briceburg,not far from you and golden for sure. Kern smaller gold but closer but Merced has it all-John

Grass Valley / Nevada City. Visit the Empire Mine to get the fever going and then go up to the Yuba River, or keep going up to Oregon Creek area, or the Little Town of Washington. And don't forget to have a Marshall's pastie.
