It's all in the definition... One pan of concentrates-

Egads, I cringe every time I watch one of the morons toss an anchor. No wonder they never get a good set.

And a Danforth in rocks? Pure stupidity-

Did they actually call it "concentrates?" They acted like it came straight off the bedrock ledge I thought. lol.

Anyone else notice while old pomrenke was out "inland mining" they were claiming all that gold in his pan came from a single pan load, but they didn't happen to mention they had been running a highbanker also. Note the gas can and the end of the sluice. View attachment 1134233

So now who believes all that gold came from "one pan?" Not me.

I think the whole land hunt thing is an attempt to get old man pomrenke out of Shawn's business.
Shawn sure looks happy sending him out of his hair to a venture that is guaranteed
to be no more then a hobby compared to what they are getting out the Sea :laughing7:

Steve was sure happy over that one little nugget :tongue3:

maybe it's an attempt to get all the wanna-be's that are showing up
to head inland instead

That bit with Zeke barfing in his mask was disgusting...

As to old man Pomrenke, I'm surprised Discovery was so sloppy as to leave in all that evidence you guys found.

Ole man Pomrenke was a placer miner in Alaska for a long time. that's where the 1st excavator came from that they used on their barge. he was on one of Toms "gold fever shows" about 15 or so years ago. Tom said he was one of Nomes biggest gold getters back then. another placer mine will just be more $$$ in their pockets!

I suppose if I lived up there I'd probably hit it. I don't think they have any sheep up there, so she'd have to do. :dontknow:

I believe that’s a dredge not a highbanker.

Wow. As if Emily's fail wasn't obvious enough, that behavior toward her greenhorn was a total put off. Shitty boss.

i like these shows somewhat. The history and techniques are quite nice. That drama though is a real deal killer. I'd rather watch people like astrobouncer and jeff williams on youtube though.

It looked as fake and scripted of any of the crap this show puts out. The worker probably had to leave for some reason so the producer wanted to turn it into big blow up for ratings. fake, fake, fake!

her blow-up about the 5oz. was BS too.
was obvious she knew the total long before they weighted it in front of the camera :unhappysmiley:

I think his point may have been "something that size can't be real" :tongue3:
although the gouging it did make me take a double take :laughing7:

Hank could have gotten a Banner here with that if he had posted it last year when he found it

I wonder how far off the coast they can dredge and if gold is way off shore too?

My understanding is that the leases can only go out to the 3 mile mark..... anything after that is technically international waters.
As to how far out the deposits go.... I have no idea.
Here is a map of the lease boundaries and 3Mi. limit.

Here is a nautical chart of the waters off Nome.. Soundings are in feet...

Seems Emily let some of her true colors flow, and the Kelly
family continues to implode.

Overdone drama, no doubt. Old man Kelly needs a serious
ass-kickin for treating his sons that way, and he's a complete
moron for getting involved with that gal. New baby at 52?

Emily in a bikini was not impressive at all, but she did take
every opportunity to shake her stuff. She was lovin' every
second of the attention it got her, which in my case was
about 1 sec. Grew up running around Newport and Huntington
beaches as a kid, and she'd rank in the bottom 20% of what
can be....observed. Her temperament hasn't changed
a bit..she's just been playing the part, but it didn't take a
whole lot to fire-off her always smoldering fuse.
