Could have been rubber ducks going to Walmart but no they got lucky lol. Inside job for sure Hefty nailed that one! Maybe we should all lose the vials and go barrels, it would force me to dig harder, must make the take look pathetic!

Does the 1997 Loomis Fargo Armored car robbery here in NC sound familiar ? I think they are currently making a movie about it, so I guess we'll have another movie in the works down the road. If not this will give treasure hunters something to look for. Didn't know Florida had that much gold.

That is prolly one weeks worth of scrap gold from one of big refiners here.
or Miami even.
Headed north...
Some of which will end up back south again with the tourists, transplants, transients and retirees eventually... heh.

Did somebody say sick ? Do you think they were running a fever (Possibly Gold Fever) the reason they pulled over ?

Pretty sure movies have had a better cover story than that... You know damn well if you jeopardize your cargo for anything but life and death, even if they don't get robbed, you can kiss that job goodbye..

"Ughhh pull over I'm feelin sick..."

"Hell No! we got almost $5 million in the back.. Suck it up buttercup!"

Agreed...
I never heard or such a crock of crap...
You would think they would have pulled over at NEXT exit or "rest area"...
you would think that this would be "protocol".

I would bet "sick guy" has ties with robbers.

Not just some random van of ski mask robbers following a truck waiting for it to pull over...
UNLESS... they have been following and somehow "dosed" driver with something to make him sick enough to do this earlier by sneaking something into food or drink at earlier stop (at restaurant for breakfast or hotel etc. before getting on road etc.)
