You know, right close to where I live, that's all we get is that fly speck gold (flour gold), but that's what I cut my teeth on; that's what I first learned to catch in my pan, and if you're good enough to catch that tiny stuff, you'll do fine when you get to an area where there's some chunky stuff!

Keep at it; keep collecting that flour gold and keep refining your skills . . .

S. M. ,plenty of good gold in West Tx. if you go west far enough , like say Arizona. LOL. I feel your pain. Good luck and hang in there.

He's not BSing you. The guy can find gold where others are aren't even hoping to. He might just be the king of fine gold recovery so pay attention when he's got something to say.

I'm thinking he's already pretty much cleaned out Oklahoma so he might just come to Texas and show you how it's done! :laughing7:

Good luck in NC post some pics. When you get time head over to MyLandMatters and check out the geology map for Tx it will help you in your search. You will not hit a payday in Tx or Ok but you still can pull some yellar with a lot of work.

Some of you may remember Poprivit (rip) from this forum. He prospected central Texas and found some gold. Llano river, I think
