With the Buttes fire knocking at the door of Pine Grove, Moke Hill and Roaring Camp at Clinton Bar, keep our friends safe. Roaring Camp is at the end of the now closed Clinton Bar Rd. Most of the area is without power, and mandatory evac notices are in place for many areas along the Moke.

Keep our mining friends in the area out of harm's way and pray for a quick end to this wildfire.

Not to downplay or detract from the human safety element or loss of property...... but if your not in danger from the fire and are a member of the community it might be prudent to start getting together now and form a committee. A group that should they be needed can immediatly respond and act as a proactive loud voice should the Forest Service start closing any roads not related to the immediate fire area. If it's SPI land, there isn't much you can do since they own the land. Our big fire was twenty years ago and the SPI roads that were closed after the fire never have reopened. They won't wait until everyone is back on their feet and paying attention to post the closures. We all know that "temporary" is a relative term time wise. Take notes from the Rim Fire and others be ready and have your reps ready.
