The Trommel definitely for river gravels or any loose gravels. It will draw on your battery along with the pump so count on shorter battery life. Weighs 20 pounds. The trommel is too small and short to handle clay and will allow too much material to enter the Cube if you are on beach sand with heavy black sand. The Gold Banker no battery draw, will help slurry the black sand and control you feed rate on the beach. Also if you are in a lot of clay, I just leave a layer of gravel on the gold banker and push the clay around on it. The gravel will grind the clay up quickly and process it through the Cube when it's milk without lumps. So you can see they both have their strong points and with every mining excursion. We need to matchmake the machine and the gold situation.
