Our government is in the process of switching to the CadNSDI PLSS to fix many of the inaccurate sections of the current PLSS. It's not a resurvey of all that land but only an adjustment to show the locations of survey monuments more accurately. In many places the maps are off by anywhere from 10 to a couple of hundred feet. My Land Matters has been applying the adjusted information on their maps as it becomes available. Clay told me not to expect to see new maps with the corrections made for some time though. If you want to see for yourself how far off the grid is in places, open up a topo map in MLM and then turn on the PLSS layers.

As prospectors and miners it is important for all of us to be accurate in doing our due diligence or with our descriptions of our claims. Clay and the MLM team are working hard to keep us all up to date and are well deserving of all our support.
