I haven't won the lottery either. I thought I was the only one. :cat:

You can't lose if you don't play. That's the bet with the best odds and the one they don't tell you about.

Gold isn't gambling if you do your research. You can research the lottery all you want and you will still be struck by lightning or a '42 Ford coupe long before you win the lottery.

The rest of the story is about politicians, snakes and lawyers so I'll just leave it there.

For sure, the lottery is self inflicted taxation. Prospecting is some sort of self inflicted abuse, but I still like it.

I once went to a casino and lost 20.00 bucks worth of quarters , in less than a minute . I was cured . I figured I would'nt go back till I made 20.00 bucks every 45 seconds , of everyday for the rest of my life . It has'nt happened yet . True story , I don't think I've ever been that mad at myself again .

M.H buddy but one more quarter. Might have been the big winner. Just like one more shovel full might have a nugget. You always have to do one more shovel full. If you have the fever.

in my 20's when i lived in Las Vegas, I'd play blackjack on the $0.50 tables and get free drinks...bar drinks were $1.25...

No brainer...

Moved to SoCal and gave up booze and haven't gambled since...

Have no desire to revisit the good old days...

I should play. I've cheated the wheel of death twice the odds should be in my favor! Or maybe third times a charm? :dontknow:

There's always going to be those that think they can beat the house. It doesn't matter if it's in "Lost Wages" on the local 7-11 in the lotto line to get them tickets. Like CLay said, We can load the odds more into our favor by doing good research into areas to prospect. Can't do that in Vegas without having to talk to "Bruno the Bouncer" if they catch you counting cards at the Black Jack table.

I was playing slots , I may have done better at black jack , but no matter they will never see a dime of my money . My mother on the other hand , almost bankrupted my father before she passed away , to the tune of 750,000.00 . I'm glad I learned at 20.00 bucks .

So far I'm down about $5 from playing the lottery. Won two $4 prizes in the last big Powerball.

The biggest secret to winning the lottery is, only using funds that you can afford to throw away!
