Show moved to Wednesdays.

Shawn Pomrenke's dad is building a massive inland project. he has as much gear as Parker. So Shawn has to work double time to subsidize his old man.

Zeke is working for a company that leases boats and splits the take. So of course they contrived a feud with him and Emily. His boat is nice though.

Sadly, the Kellys are back.

Great! If I wasn't working poor and could afford cable I'd totally be up for some weird, unrealistic, love triangle, sometimes alcoholic, dramatic portrayals of gold dredging, sadly I can't get the show so I'll monitor the thread for updates.

I am fed up with the continual soap opera with Zack and Emily, and battle between The Pomrenkes! I hardly watch this show anymore!

Whats a nice Jewish girl doing in a town like Nome, carousing with drunkards and guys like Zack? LOL!

Last year I recorded the shows on the DVR, and then watched them with
my finger constantly on the FF button so's I could skip all the dramatic BS.
Turned out there wasn't much show left...

This year I'm not even wasting the time to record it. Like Sir Bubba, above,
I've wasted enough hours of my life listening to the never-ending biatching,
and ain't investing another minute watching those maroons.

You wanna see a good program? Check out "The Last Alaskans".

I've watched every season of this and still enjoy it. It would be nice if it approached the actual mining with more depth, but reality TV is all about the drama. The Pomrenke's have a killer set up, looks like they averaged about $1.2-$1.3 million each season! The best part of this show is definitely the Kelly clan, they are some intense, crazy people. Zeke's life is intense. Not a big fan of Emily, but her dad, Steve, is entertaining in his own odd way. Vernon could potentially be one of the worst owners in both this and Gold Rush.

well show only officially started this week.
I'm hoping & Expecting Old Man Pomrenke
is going to loose his & his sons ass on the land hunt.
of course all the Crying on loosing the families Fortune
really means loosing what Discovery channel pays them,
along with maybe 10% of their yearly intake,
but I have yet to see a land Gold operation on tv that
pulls in what Shawn is doing. & my guess the Land operation is just a setup for drama between son & Father. "Wha-Wha-Wha ! I pull it in, You soak it up, Wha-Wha-Wha !"
"we're not gonna be able to eat this week, we're down to our last billion Wha-Wha-Wha !"

speaking of billion's Vernon I respect. He's out there Spending his money having fun.
I'm sure if his "Mad money" runs out, he'd quit.

I still don't like Zeke but I dislike his boss even more.
Zeke's boss is a "What did we learn today ?" type of person,
& I really despise the type of person who wants to sit down & act superior.
this is either another ploy to add drama between zeke & his new boss,
or I really feel sorry for Zeke, that he's slumped so low as to take a job from that arse !

the Kelly's. 100% fake Drama ! if it wasn't the sons would have never forgiven the old mans theft.
& my guess he either got the money for their new rig from Discovery , or they are all millionaires too.

Emily, Not worth my time , other then to say another year of plying what she learned from her dad Steve

I enjoy the entertainment. Sort of a read-neck version of gold rush. Most every body has home-made equipment except for Vern. All a bunch of die-hards just like us.

The AU Grabber wasn't featured in the 1st episode. I wonder if Hank will be on the show or if they cut him to make room for the inland mining operation?

I don't remember them mentioning him that often Last season, except when they
manufactured that childish battle over Territory.
in spite of him putting on that embarrassing spectacle,
he did say something about only being there to get gold, Not to play around.

perhaps he's just fill in and paid by the episode.

I've tried watching the show in the past, but it just puts me in a bad mood. Way too much bickering fighting and unhappiness for my blood. And I do love mining.

Its real stressful watching people argue and fight!

That's what families are for. We get that at home!

that newly built 12 inch dredge needs some dampners on those sluices real bad! needs to keep the turbulence down to save that finer gold. BUT I like it!

I just hope it doesn't suck someone's arm off!

I am actually worried someone could get super hurt with this thing. It feels like a huge liability. I hope the divers have an emergency off switch or something.
