We don't get much black sand here. BUT, we get a bunch of sulfides. I'm sure if I had some fire assays my head would spin. I wish I was set up to process them. Looking at the cons I do bring back under a microscope is amazing.

You can see the cubes and iron staining. Our cons are pretty dang metallic.

The variance in the gold is due to the variance in the host material and contacts there is quartz everywhere. Obviously a lot of slate. Several other rock types as well.

Been out enjoying the weather. Unfortunately the creek has dropped below bazooka level. Had to pull out a classifier today..YUCK.

There's lot of water. Time to get your water wings on.

Yea in lots of places. On the claim it's dropping g daily. Today will give us a little bonus. We will still have to rely on a pump pretty soon. Once the claim is dry I will be down on the river and non seasonal streams.

Middle fork is very close to me...it's hard to venture far when the claim is so close. I explore when it gets hot and dry.
We are gonna dry vac and toss rock this year though. Some areas I may even dry wash.
