Not easy to buy nitric acid anymore.Used to buy it at Kelly's drug store in San Andreas,Ca...The pharmacist would pour a half pint out of a big brown lab jug for me.They probably haven't stocked the acid in over twenty years.

In the 80s there were 2 in Reno and 1 in Moundhouse plus the late great Gold Divers there also. ALL GONE......sic sic sic sad state of affairs. Armadillo in Oregon used to stock many items new and used but a bunch of new owners over the years as sold/resold-I believe they still run ads.. John

Frank passed a couple years or so ago. The daughter is running the joint now. Still nice folks.

No, Frank didn't pass, he passed it on to Heather and he still works in there a couple days a week. Wednesday's for sure and when he wants :)

Harrington and Baldwin Co. is a pretty new shop in grass valley. Went up in there once when they first opened. They are building their own high bankers now. Not sure if they have nitric.

I don't think I saw any nitric last time the hubs and I went down to Pioneer, and Frank is for sure still around and tinkering.

I am corrected and apologies to Frank for my misinformation. Must have been a different prospecting supply place a few years back. Or I confused retirement with, well....
