There is a disease that afflicts thousands if not millions of people worldwide for which there is no known cure. It's symptoms include the urge to play in the dirt and water. In certain periods of the year, the fever is nearly unbearable. It is most detected in people that own two or more shovels, and certain sizes have names like #2.
I have this disease. The only known fever reducer is doing plenty of 12 ounce curls and sitting near a blazing campfire. Using little bars to move big rocks while standing in 45° water also helps.
I'll be working at the fever reduction this weekend, with the hopes of getting a little...

My name is Mike, and
I have Gold Fever.

I got a worse one! It's called "Country USA", and you work your butt off in the rain, slosh through mud, bake in the sun setting up stage scaffolding and trussing for the roof for $20 an hour.

And you always catch EAA about 3 weeks later that wipes you out for a month.

I'd rather be mining!

I took my mom out panning on the N Yuba and she found two nice pickers, she's caught the fever for sure.
