I was going through some of my historical books and ran across a reference to this book.
It was highly recommended as being very accurate as far as depiction of life as a miner during the gold rush days, without exaggeration or embellishment.
I did a little searching and found a copy in a small book store in Southern California. Signed by the editor no less.
I'm looking forward to devouring little tid-bits of information. The fact that I am familiar with many of the areas described will make it even better.
Anybody here already read this book?
