So... Mortins Iodine Salt, Mortins Sea Salt, Pink Himalayan... Just how salty are you man? He's a good man with good intentions and deserves respect. From every thing i've read from you, while much of it is useful, much if it is comments like these.

Yes, Dave is a person of faith & a family man. He is someone to look to for inspiration in my opinion. Also, the fact that he can operate a D11 dozer just makes him that much cooler.

I've noticed that you have a more than one post extoling the virtues of Dozier Dave. Could this be a budding spring bromance?

Look Dave is a Civil Engineer His family owns a quarry Mt. Hood Rock - About Us > Family Owned and Operated Since 1988

He was brought on to the show as a consultant. He is not a mining engineer but, I guess he probably has the most actual experience of any of the H crew running machines.

Once he signed on with production I'm sure he had to say what he was told and go along with the storyline because he signed a contract and wants to get paid.

Regardless of all the fake b.s. fake ground, fake issue's.

I'm pretty sure the Bible calls that "lying"

I will give Dave this. If he really actually set out to mine a real claim. He would probably do better than Todd. Especially if he didn't have a production crew holding him back.

Though as it stands now based on facts that you can look up. Dave Turin is not an actual "Gold Miner"

Dave may be a fine man, I don't know him so I couldn't give an opinion on his character.

It's probably useful to keep a few facts in mind.

Dave Turin is an actor in a popular TV drama. He is also a video producer. That's what he does for a living.
Perry Atkinson and his family are video producers. Perry is an actor. That's what he does for a living.
Dove media:
Information given on Focus Today interviews may contain errors or inaccuracies; we do not make warranty as to the correctness or reliability of the guest’s comments.

I have had offers to work on several TV dramas. I don't act for a living. I'll leave that to Dave and Todd and Kevin Spacey and all the politicians.

Dave may or may not be good at operating a D11.

I can, and have, operated a D11, so could you. I am not a good D11 operator. I wouldn't hire me to operate a D11 dozer even if I were certified. :laughing7:

The D11R has fingertip control and electronic clutch and brakes. They are even more fun and will move 12 yards more than the D11N. The Komatsu D575A is even bigger, more powerful, and will move twice as many yards as the D11N. The Komatsu is Super Fun and very popular in the mining business.

You can buy a well used Cat D11N for less than $50,000. About the same price as a good pickup truck.

Do you know Dave personally or have you discovered your love for Dave through the TV appearances he makes? What job would you have him do on "your team"?

Goldwasher, I am in absolute awe of how you know all these things! As well as knowing almost everything about any subject you are now the go to expert on the production of Gold Rush! Amazing! It is easy to sit on the internet & call someone a liar. I wonder if you would be so insulting when face to face?

I don't know Clay. I would first consult with you as you seem to be an expert on everything including D11 dozers & offers to work on tv shows LOL.

I know it because you can look it up.

I too have turned down shows. One very recently because they won't give you all the info before you sign NDA's and they were already talking about "pretending" to be on claims. Even though it would most likely be on private land. That is not something I can make myself oh with. Believe it or not even if they offered 50k an episode.

That may sound crazy..But, I know Clay believes it he's talked to me enough. Integrity

I have met with an actor for a movie coming out to consult. No problem cause I'm not lying I'm helping.

Hoffman created Gold Rush and every season they have been someone elses ground. The first two seasons it was actually real and they couldn't figure it out. In Oregon they were on a permitted mine and went overboard and blew it. Everything in Co. is absolutely fake.

There hasn't been a single thing in the last few seasons that can qualify Dave or Todd as Gold miners.

They aren't even good runners of already run sand.

Not one of them cares about "The Mining Community"

Yes, I would. I haven't said anything that isn't true. Am I not supposed to have an opinion cause Dave Turin might not like what I have to say?

He is paid to act. They aren't actually mining. They aren't on claims. They get paid to pretend and tell stories.

It is in essence lying especially when you claim it is real.

Well, I guess you & Clay have all the answers. Of course he is paid, that's not news. And he is a liar also. Probably lying about his faith also. Glad you are here to straighten all that out. Anything else? I'd love to see that $50,000 D11 Clay is talking about LOL.

The thread was meant to be an inspiration for prospectors. However, the same negativity has reared it's ugly head. Sad.
