Nothing worse than thieves,
I was in that shop 5 yrs ago with the wife, It was our last day in Cali, we found out that Mike had prospecting tours, we were leaving for home the next morning and missed the opportunity.
Mike had a bag of pay dirt he collected that day, we bought it off of him on the spot, then the 3 of us ran across the street to the post office and he helped us stuff it in a shipping box to mail it home with 2 minutes to spare as the post office was closing.

One of our best memories of prospecting California.
