This item is over 30 years old and can be hard to find...may be a great time to upgrade to a flare

I currently use a flare. Every weekend. I'm working on a project and need one.

Let's start where are you so we can suggest reasonable ideas.
Try E Bay, Craiglist etc.
If you are close, or don't mind shipping, try some of the west coast mining store such as Armadillo mining or Pioneer mining
Call Keene and see if there is one in the back floating around, they did a run of crash boxes in several sizes a a few years ago
Also consider trading to another style dredge. I love my crash boxes but someday I will have to either move on from them or fab my own

Get some thicker A.B.S. plastic sheet and glue up your own! I've done this and it worked fine! Heck I've even made a flair for several size dredges.......
