    Ryobi Hand Dredge

Ok... I know this isn't a dredge, I'm not sure what you would call it, possibly a electric crevice snuffer?? I haven't field tested it but I can tell from the tests that it will work, I wanted to share as possibly it may be of use to the right person in the right situation.

Good idea! How long does the battery last? Next thing ya gotta do is make the battery as big as possible and I wonder if those things will take more voltage and suck harder? Could make one like this guy

Paint it in a cobble colored camo pattern and you should be good.

Almost bought it but after reading the questions and answers on the home depot site decided not, the problem is fine silt clogging the filter and I have a lot of fine silt, clay and gooey mud.

Heck ya!! I could have used this when I was playing around in Ohio and the fine gold.

t that time I tried taking a 5 gallon bucket and a leaf blower mounted on top with a hose going into the sealed bucket. It worked real good for about 10 seconds. It was a learning experience...But I have a nice gas power vac for dry dirt if I ever need it, just doesn't work in water too good!!

That would be good for Alaska, but I don't know whether I could recharge it from the solar panels. My inverter is only 300W and my DeWalt charger runs 500W.

You could bring a few extra batteries and us it sparingly possibly? I think if only used to clean out pockets with visible gold and one batteries may last quite a long time like this.

Looks like the batteries go to 9 Ah, but don't know if that would fit. There is a bigger 6 Ah though.

But for $179 at Home Despot, it might be worth a try.

I'm looking at it for working under boulders and little pools in feeder streams.
