    A whopping 52 Ounce nugget

In 1937, this (52) troy ounce nugget was found in the river banks of Turnagain Creek British Columbia. It is recognized in this province to be the largest gold nugget in existence.

‘She’s a beauty that’s for sure. I know gold is gold but there are some “plane Jane” nuggets that don’t do much for me (other than the obvious reason $$) but then there are those that have great character like this one. Throw in a little quartz matrix and you now have sex appeal. That’s what I am talking about. Yep ‘She’s a beauty in my book.

I stand corrected. It is the 4th largest nugget in the province of B. C. but is the only one of the four that is of existence today.

Search the online digital newspaper websites for “pound nugget”...lots of big nuggets and a few HUGE nuggets.

A surprise for me was the 85 pound nugget in Oklahoma...

Well then if it's only the 4th largest might as well throw it back. Send it to me and I will release it to grow up some more
