Maint. Fee Waiver form

I was about to print a maintenance fee waiver form from BLM's electronic forms website but the darn form indicates it expires on Jan 31 2020. Anyone have a work-around?

The Interior Department made two public notices last year to update the OMB number on these forms. The last notice was on November 18, 2019. These notices require a 60 day comment period so the earliest the Interior Dept. could have submitted the new form to OMB was January 18th. Knowing how these agencies work if the BLM and OMB actually follow through you probably won't see a new form before May of this year.

In the meantime you will have to cool your jets. Submitting an out of date form will get it rejected.

The form isn't required until August 31 so there is no real hurry as long as they produce a valid updated 3830-2 OMB form by July or so.

Some people might think this was intentional but more likely it's just govt as usual. Welcome to the bureaucracy.
