A few years ago I went upstream from the Lookadoo Mine on my property in Western North Carolina located in the South Mountain Gold Belt and came upon this homemade sluice and it was pretty close to the stream and I knew if the water got up very much it would wash downstream and tear up the sluice so I moved it to a little safer place farther away from the stream and left it for them to retrieve but I placed it next to a tree and posted a NO TRESPASSING SIGN on the tree and left it and after about 6 weeks decided they were not coming back so retrieved it and took it to my miner's cabin and later out of curiosity took it to the stream and it did catch gold. Will attempt to post a picture of it and my miner's cabin. Screen Shot 2020-09-02 at 9.21.12 PM.png Screen Shot 2020-09-02 at 9.32.42 PM.png Screen Shot 2020-09-02 at 9.33.13 PM.jpg
