Guys asked for some dirt, so here it is!

Today we dive deep into the bowels of the earth and pull out some virgin lode gold vein material to process. These hardrock veins are the motherlode gold source of placer deposits nearby.
Some prospectors asked for lode material to process at home so here it is

This is my first time buying dirt/ore, so I am excited for the chance to finally see some gold!

Looks like an good deal for a fair quantity of some decent paydirt.

Only problem I saw in the video was he was panning this out in
a local creek/stream. Bringing dirt in from a foreign location and
introducing it to a watershed can bring devastating results, and
would definitely be frowned upon by law enforcement.

Can't quote the specific law, but just for the knowledge I'm going
to look into it. I do have to admit, at this point, that you could very
well be correct.

I live on a section of river that has been declared as "Wild and Scenic"
by the federal gov't. We get runs of five different salmon species, and
a yearly run of wild steelhead, many of which move up into another river
that runs into the Skagit, and it is also legendary for it's wild steelhead fishing.

When you bring dirt from a far away, unknown location and introduce
it into a creek, stream, river, etc., you also introduce all of the foreign
bacteria, and possibly vegetation (seeds) into that watershed. In some
cases, especially when invasive plants take root, this can have a devastating
effect on the local fish and wildlife.

FWIW, although I want to be sure to do my part in protecting wildlife, I'm not
some rabid environmentalist. I do try to think ahead and consider the impact
my actions may have before acting.

Curiosity has gotten to me, so I'll be looking into this soon and will let
ya all know what I find out.

I thought I remembered this so I reran the video. To my hearing, the "dirt" in the sample is simply crushed ore fines. I would venture to say that a crushed hardrock sample is sterile of organic contaminants other than from possible mold(airborne spores?) growing in the mine/on the ore etc.

Fish are pretty resilient. They survived a pretty long period of time of extreme events over the different climate periods.
The revolutionist have been pretty good at placing the blame at the masses of local people rather than at the real culprit (Off shore over-harvesting to feed the Asian continent).

I’m on board with trying to prevent invasive weeds from spreading.
You folks don’t want the yellow star thistle or the dyer’s woad that has infested my county. I don’t want your junk either.

Water vessels are a big source of transporting invasive things that thrive in the water ecosystem.

Baking ore in your kitchen oven really isn’t a good idea.
There are some deadly chemicals that can be released when ore is roasted.

My dad knew a guy that died from exposure that kind of stuff.

CGC you messed up, never process lode in a stream or river, a lot of mines I have explored here in western Wa. have drainage coming out of them witch is classified as hazard's due to the natural deposits in the mine. I will not name all the poisonous chemicals that occur in a load mine, you as a lode miner should know them. I wish you all the best but remember what you do reflects on all us other miners.
