Has anybody ever found a small pocket gold mine, where they thought the miner was screening out crushed corn flakes of gold out instead of barren rocks?

I think I have..I think they sorted the vein visually and crushed small amounts of select ore...screened the corn flakes out, then panned the rest.

This is in a remote area with no water nearby except in a wet winter for a couple weeks...no flumes or ditches....just a small 10 yard pile of reject. Rich float found below.

I always wonder what is laying within 50’ of the surface. Could be incredible.
