    Gold in Chlorite Quartz

When looking at some chlorites I found recently I saw this small bead of gold. You can barely see it with the naked eye but jumps out with magnification. I've seen some small black wires in some of it so maybe some silver also.

I don't see the gold. I do see a couple of mustard yellow spots. Is that what you are refering to? Maybe circle the spot for us?
Also, do you plan on crushing and panning it down?

If I click on the picture I can see the gold easily on my screen.

    Oh, OK. Not me.
Do you plan on crushing and panning down for the "for sure it's gold!" moment? Good luck to ya!

I think I see what your talking about, but from a million miles away, it doesn’t trigger my gold senses.

Have to take your word on it.

    Ur gonna crush and pan?

I won't crush it. I'll keep the rock as a specimen. Not worth it for that small amount of gold. I just like the mineral associations in it.

If you think you have a deposit with gold and silver, Iíd suggest grabbing another sample and crush and pan. This will verify your assumptions and possibly lead to something better.

There can be a lot of values embedded in rock that isnít easily seen by looking at it under magnification.
