I enjoy your videos. Congratulations on the nugget.
In your last vid I see you set up your camp in a dry wash, don't do that.
Flash floods, even if it's not raining nearby can come in fast.

The first nugget in a new area is very rewarding! Sometimes you get lucky and bam there it is. More often than not, it takes days of tromping around and learning the area to get onto something good.
Yea I know about camping in washes... I had to consider all factors and with nighttime lows in the 20's and 20-40mph winds each day, I opted for out of the wind plus I was within half mile of the top of the drainage basin so felt safer.
