Been over in that area doing some business and was wondering if anybody out there is from that country, looks like alot of mt. creeks ,i hear there's gold over there. by the way its some of the most beautiful country i ever seen. are there any public places to pan ?

Map of Gold deposits in NC. Find a creek nearby these and get permission.>> https://dc.lib.unc.edu/cdm/ref/collection/ncmaps/id/593
Spent a day at a 'public' Gold mine (just South of the National Forest) 10 years ago.Don't know if their still open or not, they had quite the set-up....Good luck...

Spent a few summers there working for some artists at penland school of crafts. Beautiful area, lots of cool stuff like mentioned above. Too many venomous spiders and snakes though.... no sticking your hands in dark corners in the garage with out looking with a flashlight first.....
