Some of that Gold looks course, you must be not to far from the source, do you know where the source of that Gold is?

If not, I would be looking for it, pronto!

Well if that doesn't give me hope nothing will. I have been filling sample buckets from some of the dry washes and seasonal streams in my local area (Alamogordo), no gold yet, only one location has yielded black sand. My panning technique seems to be decent, I am consistently find lead shot and shavings of lead. When I get some spare cash, I intend to join one of these organizations that will provide me with some locations to do some recreational gold prospecting.
