I have been using the Garmin GPSmap 76Cx for two years now and I can truly say it is a tough unit and waterproof to boot. I use mine in the UTM mode to map my 1812 battlefield finds. I believe that it has been discontinued and not sure what replaced it. I got mine from West Marine, if I remember correct it was around $275.00. Does both UTM and Long/Lat. I have never got any better than 9 feet resolution where I live and it will only get you close to a waypoint not dead on. Here a link to Amazon, I would not pay the $498 price tag $275 is a fair price. Downloads into Base Camp and then you can then view in Google Earth.
