How about a MD that has a realtime grid, and over lap display,and a digital compass. For the compass it will help you stay on a straight path, and the overlap with tell you how much to overlap on the return path, and the realtime grid, that would show you where you have been, buy calculating the feet you have walked in the grid,and how much you have overlaped.

......and have it all mounted to the front of one of those 2-wheeled deals (don't know what they're called) you stand-up on & "lean" to steer. THEN you'd have a "total" MDing machine

Use a Traxxas E-max 4X4 Truck, and it will run about 35mph over any terrain. It will also haul around 5-10 pounds, or pull it. No problem. I pulled a push mower with one once.

This would be a great platform for high tech MDing equipment.

I like the glasses idea, the Geo logger is cool too but a bit pricey.
