All I know is that it’s from Santander, Colombia, South America but nothing more. I was thinking some sort of fossilized material but I’m far from an expert.

Thanks in advance

Concreation or Nodule.

Hey guys, I don't know if this is the right place for it, but I didn't know where else to go for an answer (nothing I looked up seemed to fit).

My friend went to the White Cliffs of Denmark recently and said that there were some rocks that could be broken open to find these (picture below). It reminds me of the way little bits of plants, dirt, insects, etc. get stuck in amber, but it doesn't look like the amber I'm used to seeing. I'm confused by this. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hello all I'm new here and looking for some help. I picked up this rock near the south Texas/Mexico border over 10 years ago. I'm new to geology and having trouble identifying it. Any ideas? Thanks!

20180829_012612.jpg 20180829_012453.jpg Hey there, I found this in my yard. I live in Upper Indiana. It is super heavy. Non-magnetic. I started to drill into it just to see what the inside looks like. It's a solid shiny metal. I've been searching for over a year trying to figure out what this is. I've had no luck. I really hope someone here has answers.

Is this not Granite?

I found it in north central WI in an area with mostly glacial til. Is it possibly Miserite? the black patch scratches with a penny, the other parts do scratch glass and the streak test is pinkish whit on black ceramic plate.

Help me what kind of rock is this?

I went floating in central misouri Monday for the first time and I absolutely loved it. In the middle of the trip we stopped and ate on the gravel. I was surrounded with so many different sizes and colors that attracted me,so I started collecting the ones I liked. I'm kind of curious to know about this one in a little spot spot it has some shine maybe a dab of quartz I have no idea. It would be nice to know what this is any help or advice is appreciated thank you

Nice service, someone was asking about some rocks in his gold mine yesterday, will direct him here. Thanks

BTW under loop it was silvery and as bright as mercury, too bright to be silver. I guessed antimony. He will have acess in a week to an XRF gun, that should resolve it.

What IS this??

I found literally a whole mountainside of this in Utah. It was forming in layers on what I think was sandstone and flaking off all over the ground. Here is a picture of it rough and then what it looks like after I tumble it. I can’t seem to find the right search words on google to find something similiar. Thanks! 56FA4FFB-EBEA-4999-BA8F-CF35388DAD25.jpeg 6E4D5CE8-737E-433F-BAD1-C9DE649E9D15.jpeg 3E3868A8-7385-4361-817F-E891B8B31037.jpeg 794AFBB0-7D44-4E8B-BF2D-6015F9957D36.jpeg E8EA72ED-2755-431A-B0BF-6B3DEB28978D.jpeg 4D732926-BFC7-47AE-9DA3-C96A8A69A6D3.jpeg

Try breaking it open with a hammer and post new pics. Use gloves and eye protection.
